Amicalola Falls State Park
This park is available for camping and also known for its mountaintop lodge. The signature attraction of Amicolola Falls State Park is the 729-foot waterfall, which is still the tallest cascading waterfall in the eastern part of the Mississippi River.
Black Rock Mountain State Park
Black Rock Mountain State Park is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is considered the highest state park in Georgia. The campground here has 44 spots for RVs, 10 cottages, 4 primitive backcountry sites and 12 walk-in campsites in addition to trailer and tent campsites with full hook-ups.
Fort Mountain State Park
Many believe that this park was built by Native Americans and its name came from an ancient 855-foot wall that stands at the mountain peak. Its campground has 70 campsites for RVs, tents and trailers with and full hook-ups and even cable TV for those who miss the comforts of home. Fort Mountain has 15 cottages, six platform campsites and four walk-in campsites. There is also a lake wherein you can swim. You can also go hiking, biking, horseback riding, play golf, fishing and canoeing.
